Spinning set consisting of:

- wooden drop spindle
- 100% wool tops hand dyed with plants
- gift box in kraft cardboard with wool fleece padding

This set is a wonderful artistic and creative gift for those who love manual activities, and a valid starter kit for beginners to learn to spin.

Yhe box contains the necessary material and instructions to start spinning your first wool thread: an ancient and wonderful traditional activity, relaxing and meditative, which will also allow to create your own yarns in the thicknesses, colors and types customized for your needs of knitting, crochet, weaving etc.

The spindle is made of wood, the combed ribbon is 100% pure soft wool, dyed by me with herbs and plants, available in natural colors:

- blue dyed with woad leaves
- purple violet dyed with pokeberries
- pink dyed with madder roots
- yellow dyed with goldenrod flowers
- orange dyed with onion peels
- undyed white

The box is ready for you or to be given as a gift, with nice tag and instructions on brown paper printed in elegant Nordic handwriting. The padding is made of Sardinian sheep wool fleece: a breed that produces rough wool not suitable for clothing, but which I wanted to use to give it a purpose in an act of concrete circular economy. According to season and availability, there may be a different breed and/or upcycled paper stripes.

Un capo tinto con le piante è prezioso e delicato. E' in fibre naturali per cui di per sè va trattato con cura, inoltre l'assenza di fissanti dannosi lo rende più sano ma richiede anche un pizzico di attenzione in più. Lava i capi sempre da soli, a mano, in acqua fredda o tipeida, con poco detergente neutro specifico per delicati. Stendi all'ombra e in piano. Sembrano indicazioni complesse ma basta qualche minuto di immersione in una bacinella o nel lavabo!
